Created in the 1980s, thematically traditional French restaurant, located in the heart of an exceptional site in Chateauroux, in the leisure park Daniel Bernadet of Belle Isle (near the A20 motorway and the center-city), where it is good to discover the magic of a place. New look since May 1, 2013 to the delight of Castelroussins!

Joël and Marie-Hélène MAHEO, managers of the Guinguette of Belle Isle, even consider the bagpipe as a true heritage which must be emphasized. They are also member of the association 'Culture Guinguette' 'dedicated to the promotion and preservation of dance halls in France.

A symbol, the Guinguettes are a prominent feature of our history related to workers' leisure and "Sunday at the water's edge." Regattas, canotages, rowing races, but also fair games, bowling and swing ... are inseparable. We sit down at table there to enjoy simple food served with a little wine, white or red, or fried fish stew, fricassee of rabbit; dancing there, of course the waltz, polka, waltz later without forgetting the swing ...

Today, the movement continues and beyond the value of music, cuisine and folk dance is the diversity of people, cultures and natural resources, referred to Guinguette by here and there ...
